Why hire? Musical instruments can be expensive, both to buy and maintain especially if it is your first experience on this journey. Hiring an instrument is a relatively small cost when compared to the new purchase price. Hiring allows the student some flexibility with making the decision of which instrument to play. It means you can return the instrument if you wish to buy your own instrument or if it just doesn’t work out.
We no longer rent by the month, experience shows us that as payments come due each month, it is natural to assess the student’s progress. This is what we refer to as an invitation to quit. A longer term commitment is really needed to look at progress and enjoyment. It also reduces paper work, which means we can keep the pricing lower.
All our instruments available to rent are fully serviced and sanitised in our workshops and any maintenance during the year is covered in your rental fee. (Of course the cost to repair damage is not included and is payable by the renter)
At the end of the rental period, if you wish to purchase an instrument from Blow winds, 50% of the rental fee paid will be deducted from the purchase price.
Per year is regarded as the school year. Our rental period starts in late January and finishes mid December
